Question 1

Is the instant estimate a guaranteed offer?

Accepted Answer

It's a free, no-obligation instant estimate based on the details you provide, shown as a range because your final offer depends on our final viewing of your vehicle. One of our team members personally reviews your vehicle, checks current market conditions, and reaches out within the day with your confirmed offer — you're always free to accept or decline, no pressure.

Question 2

How long does the inspection take?

Accepted Answer

Most inspections take about 10 minutes. We can typically arrange one at your home, workplace, or a nearby partner location.

Question 3

Do I have to sell if I get an offer?

Accepted Answer

Never. There's no obligation at any point in the process. You're free to decline the final offer and walk away.

Question 4

What documents do I need?

Accepted Answer

You'll generally need your vehicle registration and a valid ID. If there's an outstanding loan on the vehicle, bring your lienholder information too.

Question 5

How fast do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Payment is issued instantly once you accept your final offer, via secure payment of your choice.

Question 6

Does Carbid.ca buy cars with existing loans?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can help pay out your remaining loan balance directly to your lender as part of the sale — our team will walk you through the details.

Question 7

What if I'm still leasing my car?

Accepted Answer

We can buy out your lease directly with your leasing company, which may save you tax versus buying it out yourself first. Our team will confirm the exact numbers for your situation before anything is finalized.

Question 8

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We serve sellers across Canada, with concentrated coverage across Western Canada — Vancouver, Surrey, and the rest of the Lower Mainland in BC, plus Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta. Enter your postal code in the offer form and we'll confirm availability in your area — we come to you for the inspection and pickup, so there's no need to drop your car off anywhere.
